At his mother's deathbed, Kai learns how his father really died and why she had to flee the Philippines with him and his twin brother when they were children. To uncover the mystery, Kai travels to the Philippines with his girlfriend Sarah. On a remote island, a monastery driven by superstition has conspired to fight a “demon”. He suffers from hallucinations and delusions and begins to see his deceased twin as a child. Everything seems to revolve around his childhood, which catches up with him more and more. When he loses control, Sarah has to realize that there might be something to the superstition after all.

The boundaries between feverish delusion and hard-hitting reality begin to blur. Can she save Kai from his fate of becoming a demon?
